Eblis the Persian Dolphin

Shoutouts to Eblis, the Persian Dolphin, for sending me his music a while back, and I owe you an apology for waiting so long to post your stuff. I've been super lazy about updating this, but I checked out that youtube and I love it. I'm still going through all the songs to figure out which one is my favorite, but all the beats are incredible. They're just so easy to get lost in, and you just sit there listening to the sounds and you have to listen to another and another and another one. A little about Eblis, he is a 16 year old out of the Seattle, Washington area trying to get his music out to a wider listening group. Most of his songs are beats/instrumentals without someone singing or rapping over them to give off that lost in thought kind of vibe I was describing. He is also apart of a group STK (Star Trek) made up of photographers, editors, etc. I seriously look forward to hearing more of your music, and if there's a download link or mixtape I'll definitely post it so everyone can have a little Eblis on their playlists.

KiD CuDi 'Just What IAm (feat. King Chip)(Prod. KiD CuDi)'

Just what you need. Some new KiD CuDi to start off this beautiful week. I haven't heard any new music from my guy Cudders in a minute now (last thing I had was ('Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More Of This Whiskey'). He is currently working on his new hip hop/rap album, "Indicud"which by the sound of 'Just What IAm' it will surely be a classic. Shoutouts to the artist formerly known as Chip Tha Ripper, King Chip, for providing an amazing feature on this track. This is just something you can truly rage to and I love that CuDi doesn't fail to give his fans and himself something that we'll all love. CuDi tweeted that he'll be dropping some tracks from the upcoming album in the coming weeks, so I look forward to hearing some more songs he has in store for us.

Robb Bank$ & SPACEGHOSTPURRP 'Like That (Prod. by SPACEGHOSTPURRP)'

Oh yes, some new music by two of my current favorite up and coming artists right now, Robb Bank$ (Calendar$ is dead), and SPACEGHOSTPURRP. If you don't know anything about Bank$ and/or are digging this track and what to hear more from him please check out the his "Calendar$" mixtape, and you may or may not have heard of SPACEGHOSTPURRP through the whole A$AP Rocky/SPACEGHOSTPURRP beef that is going on right now. I don't know the whole deal about what's going on, but I do know that PURRP is doing his thing on the beats and on the vocals. These two tweeted about a track they did together/were in the process of doing and I am excited about what came about with 'Like That.' Bank$ has been somewhat MIA from the music scene since "Calendar$" dropped and does have a new project in the works, and you already know PURRP has been doing his thing production wise and making a name for himself. I'm looking for more Bank$/RVDXR KLVN collaborations in the future, until then, enjoy 'Like That.' Look out for YOTS (Year of the Savage) in the future.

Soulja Boy & Waka Flocka 'Ridin Around (Prod. by Young Chop)'

Not usually what I am to post, but this song is too hot for ya'll not to know about. New music from Waka Flocka and Soulja Boy called 'Ridin Around' produced by Young Chop aka the mastermind behind the ORIGINAL 'I Don't Like' track by Chief Keef & Lil Reese. Not only am I feeling the beat (the beginning actually reminds me of the intro to 'I Don't Like'), but both Flocka and dare I say it, Soulja Boy went all the way in on this song. I read someone speculate it must be because of members of GBE (the crew/group Chief Keef is associated with) who Soulja has been listening to/doing music with influencing his flow and delivery. Either way, I can dig it compared to his trashed out freestyles/verses he constantly puts out. This is a 1000x better than like 90% of his mixtapes and videos. There's also another version of this song called 'Extendos' featuring the Game. I haven't heard that version and I don't think I really need to, this song is fire already and I don't need the Game to extinguish the flame.

Johny Hawkins "OG (Mixtape Download)"

This is a submission by an Atlanta mc by the name of Johny Hawkins with his 3rd mixtape entitled "OG." I don't know much about Johny Hawkins, but I am feeling this tape so far. I'm still in the midst of listening to the full tape, but I am definitely feeling the samples used in here from classics like Master P, Pimp C (R.I.P.), Three 6 Mafia and Bun B. I wish I had more of a bio to post about Hawkins, but right now just know that this tape has a great feel to it with an 80s/90s kind of vibe to it. Download and check the kid Johny Hawkins out, I'm sure you will dig him like I do.

Yelawolf 'Happy Father's Day'

Haven't been posting in a while, but guess who's back and in time for Father's Day...meee. In honor of the day, here's a brand new track by one of my personal favorites Yelawolf with 'Happy Father's Day.' After hearing it a few times, I'm really digging it. It's something different from him coming hard every track and I feel like he's a bit more laid back in terms of delivery, but always bringing it in terms of lyrical ability. I like how he's telling a story in the song where you hang on every word to visualize what it is that he's saying in the song. The compliment of the beat also brings out the lyrics of the song. This is the first new track I've heard from Yela in a minute now and I'm loving it as well. Happy Father's Day to the father's doing whatever they can to provide for their kids.

Asher Roth 'Outside'

Shoutouts to Ash Roth for the new track he dropped today called 'Outside.' A much needed track, because I've been wanting some new Roth for a minute now and I feel like it's something for us computer lames who stay inside all day blogging (I know I haven't really been active on here, but I'm still on the music scene). It's just a nice laid back track about not letting the day/your life pass by you by staying in the house all day, just go out there and enjoy what's out there. Make the most of your life. This will definitely be my theme for those days where I just want to try and kick it in the crib all day doing nothing, but blogging my summer away. Definitely take a listen, and then head outside and enjoy the day.

KiD CuDi 'Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More Of This Whiskey!"

Yes, Yes, yes yes YESSSSSS. Some new new KiD CuDi. I still haven't had the chance to cop "WZRD," Cudders' Rock album with Dot Da Genius (and I've also been holding off listening to tracks from the album until I actually go out and buy it). So pretty much I've been kicking it with some old CuDi just waiting on him to drop some new rap music, and I saw at one of his shows he dropped a sweet little freestyle, proceeded to hint at new music on his twitter account, and bam bam bam here it is. This sweet track is entitled, "Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More Of This Whiskey!" which is something that KiD CuDi himself has produced since his 'Super Boo' track a while back. I'm definitely digging the beat, it has some 'Ghost' undertones to it with a little guitar with it (I just read his tweet that he reversed 'Ghost' and then added guitar and drums to the beat), and CuDi continues to prove to his fans that he still has it. I definitely needed this to hold me over for Man on the Moon III, so from CuDi to me to you, here's 'Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More Of This Whiskey!"

Robb Bank$ "Calendars (Mixtape)"

I've been listening to Robb Bank$ for a minute now, and I know little about him, but what I do know is that he makes some fresh music. I first got hip to him from his 'Counting' music video which has some great visuals along with a just rock/rap beat type of instrumental going on that you just can't not love. Bank$ born in New York (I forget where exactly), but raised in Florida describes his music as things he's witnessed day to day growing up, and just his experiences. With every track off of his solo debut, "Calendars" you'll get something different atop some incredible beats. I'm definitely impressed by his sound and I would love to meet him if I ever got the chance to, and I'm interested in listening to his group stuff as the other half of Tuesday Thru Sunday with Matt Meyer Lansky. So far my favorite track off of the "Calendars" mixtape would have to be 'Fine/The Come Down pt. 2' there's just something about Bank$' flow and the beat that makes this song irresistible.

Andy Milonakis 'We Are Farmers (feat. Dirt Nasty & Riff Raff)'

YESSSS, I needed this tonight. Some leaked Andy Milonakis called 'We Are Farmers' featuring Dirt Nasty and Riff Raff. Let me just say this beat is incredible and if I had speakers it would be blasted in my room right now and for the next few weeks because it's just incredible. Everybody came on the track ready to murder the beat and they all did just that. Honestly you can't just listen to this once, you have to put it on repeat and just listen to it again. If you ever thought that Andy Milonakis' rap game was a joke please rethink that after you hear him go in on this track. This song was definitely what I needed to top off this night. Now excuse me as I pull out the Ric Flair McLaren, WOOO. Shoutouts to Derek Allen for producing this monster.

Calligraphist 'Feel it in the Air'

Shoutouts to George Calligraphist for submitting me his music (sorry for the wait in the posting, I've been super busy recently), but here we go. Calligraphist is an underground rapper who brings back the actual lyrics side of rapping in his music. He strives to bring that thought provoking and hard hitting music back to the game with a sound thats his own. His deep voice adds to the music he's putting out and allows you to sit and really listen to what it is he's saying. His remix to Beanie Sigel's 'Feel it in the Air' track is amazing, I usually don't listen to remixes of this song because I do believe Beanie killed it, and the original is a hard act to follow, but I honestly believe that Calligraphist did a great job on this. It's a brief track, and like he says, all he wants you to do is listen. He raps about the struggle it is in this hard music industry and how it's harder for him to make it, but I think he does have a chance. Check out 'Feel it in the Air' and support Calligraphist.

Iggy Azalea 'D.R.U.G.S. (feat. YG)'

I heard this track a few days ago and I just can't stop listening to it. The song is called 'D.R.U.G.S.' by an Australian born rapper by the name of Iggy Azalea who I'm taking is on YG's Pushaz Inc label. I'm hearing the comparisons to Nicki Minaj, and people are calling her a blend of Ke$ha and Nicki, but I'm not really feeling it or seeing it. After hearing this track, I listened to a few of her songs off of her "Ignorant Art" album and sorry to say I can't cosign her. Maybe it's the crazy hot beat of 'D.R.U.G.S.' that really gets me excited to hear this song and have it on repeat all day or something, but I can't really dig her other stuff. "Ignorant Art" is alright to me at best, it's not something I'd go out of my way to go cop and her freestyles are alright at best. Maybe I need to take a few more listens but I can't say that I'm an Iggy Azalea fan, but I do happen to love love loveeee this song. Check out the music video for 'D.R.U.G.S.' and download "Ignorant Art" if you want to hear more from Iggy.

Boogie KaZamm "Indifferent" Mixtape

Shoutouts to my guy Boogie and his production game, and the up coming/recently released (if you're on the East Coast it just dropped and if you're on the west side like myself you'll be getting it early. If you don't know, Boogie is a producer (17 at that) out of the mid-West and looking to expand his already growing fan base with his dope beats for local and up and coming artists from his area. The mixtape does feature the track I put up a few months back called 'Just A Kid' (formally called 'FREE-STILE' on the mixtape) by EJAAZ and other songs by a few other artists like Breeze, HowFly, Jayy Starr & Gabrielle Wilkerson and a couple others featured on some tracks. I'm currently listening to this 10-track mixtape so I can't tell you my personal faves, but take some time to download and check it out for yourself. If you're an up and coming artist and would like to have a Boogie beat, then hit him up.

Asher Roth & Chuck Inglish "In the Kitchen (Music Video)"

My guy Asher Roth and one half of the duo, The Cool Kids, Chuck Inglish have teamed up to make a hot track called "In the Kitchen" which as the title states was made in the kitchen, and yes the music video is also of them performing the song in the kitchen. Once again, Chuck Inglish has put together some dope beats, I honestly have no idea how he constantly puts out fresh tracks after fresh tracks but kudos to the man, and Roth comes once again with his slick rhymes to finish the 1, 2 punch of the whole record. The video came out a few weeks ago, but this is the first chance I've had to actually listen to and watch the video, and I give it my whole hearted recommendation for all Chuck Inglish and Asher Roth fans and those of you that don't know much about the two. Deff on the lookout for some more Roth songs because I need more of his music. Video directed by Mike Waxx & Mike Carson.

Pac Div 'Useless (feat. Asher Roth)'

New music from Southern California's own, Pac Div featuring Asher Roth entitled 'Useless.' After the "Mania!" tape, and much more music before that, I've certainly become a Pacific Division fan, and this new track with one of my top rappers Asher Roth, I've just become more and more into Pac Div and their music. The song which will be featured on their up and coming new album "The Div" which is dropping very soon (November 8th to be exact), and I'm hoping it does drop then because I'm not ready for a push back like the "Mania!" mixtape. Just can't withhold such good music from the fans for so long. The track is clean and I'm digging the beat and the rhymes that Pac Div drops are just crazy, and it seems like Asher is always coming at some other white rapper in his recent rhymes. I know I'm totally making this assumption off of his verse on this and his 'Kidz These Days' track. Just listen to how he starts off on this track and tell me he don't sound like he's coming at somebody. Either way it's still hot. Dope track by these fellas and I'll deff be on the look out for that new Pac Div album. Also check out for them on "The Blue Slide Park Tour."

JMSN 'Alone (Official Video)'

I haven't really been posting much (totally my fault my loyal subscribers and The Brat Writes enthusiasts), but I do have a little something to hopefully make up for that. It's a song called 'Alone' by a guy who goes by JMSN, I don't know much about the guy, but I do plan on doing a little more research to give ya'll, but here is an official explanation of his video 'Alone' that he puts on his website: "Everything we do revolves around this something we want and its a constant battle.

We take medication and whatever else we can get to not think about the future and not worry if we’re getting back what we put in. Because more often than not we aren’t." (Read the rest here)I am After reading the explanation it just adds an extra like deep aspect to the video that you can already tell from watching (I'm sure that sentence made no sense lol). I'm definitely digging JMSN's voice and the content on this song, I've heard a few places that he sounds like another up and coming artist, The Weeknd, but I don't really see it, but hey thats just me. I like what he's doing here and I look forward to hearing more of JMSN's music.

Spank Rock 'Car Song (feat. Santigold)'

New music from Spank Rock featuring Santigold. The last time I heard a Spank Rock song was when I played Madden 07 and his song 'Backyard Betty' was on the soundtrack. I thought this song was like the greatest thing ever, and it still is an amazing song. I never really heard much else of Spank Rock's stuff other than that featured on some sports games soundtracks. I did just get him to this song he did featuring none other than Santigold called 'Car Song.' If you're looking for something different than the music on the radio deff give this song a try and I highly recommend Santigold's stuff as well. The beat to this song has some throwback 70s vibes with the instrumental, Santi providing the hook and Spank spitting his lyrics as usual. It's such a dope combination and something refreshing (beat wise), Spank still has his sexual references, but he makes it work. This is off of his upcoming "Everything is Boring and Everyone is a F*cking Liar" album.

Yelawolf 'Hard White (Up in the Club) (feat. Lil Jon)'

Yelawolf, Yelawolf, Yelawolf, boy oh boy did you come hard with this new track and video for the song 'Hard White (Up in the Club)' which does feature Lil Jon but I think the word feature should be "featured" with the air quotes because Lil Jon doesn't spit a verse or anything, but he I guess kind of does the chorus, but not really. Either way, it doesn't take away from the bossness of the song, from the verses Yela spits to the crazy amazing beat to go with it. This is like the first hard Yelawolf song I've heard where he really goes in over a crazy beat and rips it to shreds. The video for this is also pretty crazy, for the fellas, a lot of women, whipped cream/pie, girls (delicately) fighting and some other stuff. One thing I love, is that tie-dye hoodie that Yela rocks in the video because I'm not a fan of them, but just something about him wearing one makes me want to get/make a tie-dye hoodie just like that one. 'Hard White' is the first song off of Yela's upcoming album "Radioactive" so be on the lookout for that.

The Knux 'Run (feat. KiD CuDi)'

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, I've been busy with getting situated with school and what not, so I haven't really had any time to check out new music and what not. However, I do have some artists and stuff that I've been meaning to put you guys onto, but I haven't really had the chance to do so, but here's some fairly new music by a hip hop/rock and electro duo by the name of The Knux. The song 'Run' features one of my favorite artists, KiD CuDi (who does his darn thang on his verse), and I'm really diggin all the instruments, that guitar and drum piece really make the song. The chorus for the song is very simple and catchy to say the least, and I really love the difference in styles with CuDi's verse and the more singy/poppy sounds of The Knux. This duo/collaboration on the song was well done. Be on the lookout for 'Run' on The Knux's upcoming album, but you purchase the song now on iTunes.

KiD CuDi 'Spontaneously Combust (Old CuDi)'

For all you CuDi heads wanting to hear some new/old music in anticipation for "A Man Named Scott" (CuDi's mixtape before the album) and his rock styled album which I am unsure about the album title, but is due to be released in the Fall of next year (I believe). Recently posted some previously unreleased music from KiD CuDi entitled 'Spontaneously Combust' is slightly different from the KiD CuDi many of you know and love, but nonetheless Cudders still brings the heat and gives his fans another track that they can love. I honestly can't get enough of KiD CuDi whether it's some unheard of songs he did, some remixes he's on, or even just a blazing freestyle, CuDi always puts his heart and soul into his music.
