"Say there ain't no hope for the youth and the truth is it ain't no hope for tha future"- Tupac

wise words spoken by the late Tupac Shakur and his words still hold great meaning today. the future of our/my generation is one filled with mistreatment of our bodies. In society's standards, it's better to be "loose and wild" with yourself, it's okay to let others disrespect you because "hey you'll be popular." Why do many young girls my age feel the need to sleep with multiple guys at a time, why do they allow their male counterparts to refer to them as B******* and H***. These are negative words which only degrades women, yet the world we live in today make it okay to say. how did we come to live in a world filled with sex, and if you're not having it then you aren't wanted. why is it frowned upon by my peers to be faithful in a relationship, to not want premarital sex? growing up in the world we live in today makes me worry about the next generation. why don't we as women stand up for ourselves and stop allowing men to disrespect us?
