Carlos St. John 'Here We Are (feat. Azeem)'

It's been a minute since we've all (including myself) heard some new and hot music by the one and only Carlos St. John, but if you've been following his twitter you'd know that he recently released a new joint 'Here We Are' featuring none other than Azeem Salem on the hook and produced by The Argonauts. I don't know about ya'll, but I miss Carlos St. John Day when he would release something new and hot every Tuesday. I can't wait for him to drop a full length LP under a major label and doing the big things I know he has in store. 'Here We Are' is that track that compares Mr. St. John's life before while he was struggling and as Azeem sings "came from nothing" to the empire that Carlos St. John is the mastermind behind. If you want to hear more from the one and only Carlos St. John check out his official website, and check out the songs I've posted here as well.

Carlos St. John "12 Flights Up, A Short Story- Good Morning, Forever (Video #4)

It's been a week, and everyone's favorite day has arrived again: Carlos St. John Day. I've been anxiously waiting for this weeks installment of the video and was granted ability to peak at the video earlier today before it was dropped anywhere else, so thank you to Taylor and Carlos for that wonderful opportunity. See ya'll, it pays to be a Stock Holder. The video for this week uses the song, 'Good Morning, Forever' which honestly is a song I didn't like at first, but after playing it countless times in a row I feel like needs to be my alarm because it's such a great song to wake up to/listen to in the morning. The video picks up where the last one ended, and it's the day after the argument between Carlos and his girl. He's dressed (looking sharp as usual) and she's lying in bed and there is flashbacks of their night (a little explicit for you younger readers), and Carlos' face just looks like he's up to something which I'm guessing we'll find out in the next video. If you like the song then I HIGHLY suggest you download his mixtape "In Association" and become a Stock Holder today. They don't call him Brooklyn's James Bond for nothing.

Carlos St. John "12 Flights Up, A Short Story- Ticker Tape Parade (Video #3)"

One word: Boss. Carlos St. John is just an all around boss. The way he cut that cigar, the way he lit that match, just everything about him is boss. The third installment of his series, "12 Flights Up, A Short Story" uses the song 'Ticker Tape Parade,' which is one of my personal faves by him, as the background music in this video. It continues on with Carlos and his girl riding in the car arguing, and she's getting upset and crying, while he's sitting there with a smirk on his face. He's clearly up to something, and the song goes perfectly with the video because as they get that shot with him alone in the city, the lines go, "See none of that don't matter, cause I'm a diamond baby." Every video makes me just wanna meet Carlos St. John or even just go to a concert of his and enjoy that St. John Experience live.

Carlos St. John "12 Flights Up, A Short Story (Video #2)"

The "12 Flights Up, A Short Story" web series by Carlos St. John is continuing where the first video left off. In this one, the video is accomponied by the song 'Hands' off of Carlos' "In Association" mixtape and the drama is crazy. The video shows Carlos' girl coming home and an argument ensues between the two. I honestly can't wait for the next video to see what happens next, but rewatching the first video and this one should be able to keep me over until next Tuesday.
Honestly I thought he was gonna hit her in the video after he put the gloves on lol, maybe that's just me, but it seemed to cool over at the end when they're holding hands.

Carlos St. John "12 Flights Up, A Short Story (Video #1)"

Ahhh yes, Carlos St. John Day is back! The new installment to the series is not just music, but a combination of music, and a personal look into the life of the man behind the "In Association" mixtape. The first video in the series features the song 'Lights in the Air' by Mr. St. John and Brook Yung. It's a little teaser for you Stockholders of what can be expected, and after watching this I can't wait to see where Carlos and his people go with it. By the looks of this first video it looks like it will be about a love in Carlos' life that possibly has left him just by looking at the setting of the video and the roses and drinks around the table. It seems like it will be touching, maybe show a different side of Carlos St. John through this series? We'll have to wait and see until next Tuesday. Get prepared for the next episode by listening and downloading the "In Association" Mixtape, brushing up on your facts/info of Carlos by checking out his website.

Carlos St. John "In Association - A Short Story"

I feel so empty not being able to post a new Carlos St. John track every Tuesday ever since his "In Association" mixtape dropped on Christmas (read review here). However, have no fear because the man behind the amazing music is still here on his grind and has new stuff for his Stock Holders. With all the spotlight Carlos has been receiving for his mixtape, he will put out a multi-part series that will follow him around, and the first episode will drop tomorrow, January 20th. This series is entitled, "In Association - 12 Flights Up, A Short Story." I am definitely looking forward to this miniseries, to be able to understand the creative mind of Mr. St. John and a little bit more into his personality. I hope you all will be able to tune in and get to know the guy just a tad bit more, maybe even become a Stock Holder, who knows.

Carlos St. John "In Association" Mixtape

A Christmas gift from me to you all. The long awaited Carlos St. John "In Association" Mixtape has finally arrived, and just in time for Christmas. For the past few months I've been giving you guys an incredible new track each Tuesday (dubbed Carlost St. John Day) and the mixtape which features each track along with three, yea THREE new songs by Carlos. The two songs are 'Welcome to Real Life' and '12 Flights Up,' along with the finished cuts of 'Hands' and 'Hustler 2.2' (the final "In Association" series track), and as I suspected the final track of 'Hustler 2.2' was a sample of another song. There are 14 songs on the mixtape, and if you want to read my personal opinions on the songs you can check out previous St. John posts here. All in all, if you doubted Mr. St. John before, you won't after you've heard this mixtape, and if that still doesn't win you over or you are a fan and want more music, download his first mixtape "The St. John Portfolio."

'Welcome To Real Life' is one of those real/reflection songs where Carlos gets serious on the track especially in the chorus. It's almost like the struggle that goes with the music industry, and what he's accomplished so far, "I laugh through the stained glass knowing that I own 100% of my Dame Dash/That's creative control lame a**"

'The Brook' I just figured it out, it's short for Brooklyn because as we all know this is Brooklyn's James Bond. The song is more of a track for his hometown of Brooklyn and all that comes in and out of Brooklyn. So if you're from Brooklyn make sure you bump this.

'12 Flights Up' the final track on the mixtape is the outro track and he's pretty much thanking us (The Stockholders) for coming along this ride with him. Him being 12 flights up is another kind of reflection track where he's wondering what direction/where to go next from here. "The money goes fast/the life goes fast/you speedin' through the lights and the lights don't flash" is just one line from the chorus.

Carlos St. John 'Who Else But Me'

Another Tuesday has come and gone (but for those in a different time zone it may still be Tuesday) and yes I do have another highly anticipated Carlos St. John track for you all. This week he goes in on Ryan Leslie's 'All My Love' track and creates something uniquely his own. It's almost as though he's wishing us (the proud stock holders), who've followed him on this journey doing his "In Association" series. I like the almost sentimental reflection like 'Building My Empire' in this final track to end us off with. It's sad that this is our final track but you know what they say, "all good things must come to an end." If you've been skeptical of Carlos St. John before, listen to this or any other track he has out, be sure to download "The St. John Portfolio" mixtape, and be sure to look out for the "In Association" mixtape to drop December 14th. In between then, I wish you well.

Carlos St. John 'Hustler 2.2 (Snippet)'

I know I know ya'll are like, what happened on Tuesday? I didn't get the new track, and when I did I've been too lazy to post it (sorry ya'll), but now that I'm on vacation I've got time to post, post, and post for you all. This week for Carlos St. John Day, it's switched up a bit, and we have a snippet of a track that features the one and only Azeem showing off his production skills (because we already know how amazing his voice is). No need to show off on someone else's beat so Carlos keeps it all original in this track, and I'm not sure if it's two tracks on here because the beat switches up towards the end, but either way both or this one track is crazy hot, and the full length version needs to be released ASAP. Once again, support Carlos St. John and his movement.

'Building My Empire' by Carlos St. John feat. Azeem

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes you already know the deal. Today's Tuesday aka Carlos St. John Day and we do have another banger from the one and only Carlos St. John. This week he samples Drake's 'Light Up' beat and along with the help of Mr. Azeem they've created their own masterpiece. It's not as hard as some of his past stuff, it has that same kind of vibe as 'Ticker Tape Parade' (which is one of my personal favorites) and as usual Carlos does his thing on the track. What more can you ask for from him? People how many times do I have to tell you, get to know Carlos and tell your friends about him and get to supporting his Portfolio movement. As I listen to the song more and more it just keeps on growing on me. Here's something extra this week too, there's also a stellar video of Mr. St. John in the making of 'Building My Empire' so check it out after the music player. Without further ado, here's your weekly fix of Carlos St. John.

'Lights in the Air' by Carlos St. John feat. Brook Yung

Yes today is tuesday (well more of the end of tuesday), but also known as Carlos St. John day if anyone was wondering. I know this drop is wicked late, but I was busy and then procrastinated doing homework and was just wasting time (as usual lol). But for those wondering this weeks Carlos St. John drop samples Diddy's Dirty Money's song 'Angel' and Carlos has solicited the help of fellow New York rapper Brook Yung (get to know him people, I know I will). The track kind of reminds me of Carlos' 'Blow Them Away' idk the feel just reminds me of it, but none the less the track is crazy. The song is crazy hot and as usual Carlos brings it once again, so people people people how many times do I have to tell you, STOP SLEEPING ON CARLOS ST. JOHN. Get with his music, team, become a Portfolio Stock Holder (like myself).

'Good Morning, Forever' by Carlos St. John feat. Azeem

Check your calendars, today is Tuesday aka Carlos St. John Day, and once again he did not disappoint. Teaming up this week with Azeem Salem (Listen to 'Breath Again,' and 'Blow Them Away') to sing on the hook (which is spectacular and very catchy might I add), Carlos drops 'Good Morning, Forever' for us. The track samples LLoyd Banks' 'Start It Up' beat and Carlos did the darn thing once again. Like I have been waiting for a new drop since he tore up, 'The World Belongs to Me.' I mean seriously if you haven't heard/listened to Carlos St. John please stop waiting around and listen now, "That mean I'm so dope, So I don't piss clean" (WHAT?! DID HE REALLY?!?!?!??!) I mean he killed it this week. You already know the deal for next tuesday so hop aboard now and get with Carlos St. John NOW.

'The World Belongs to Me' by Carlos St. John

Today's tuesday and you guessed it, it's Carlos St. John Day. A new release every tuesday, can you say best day of the week? Well let's get to it, this weeks masterpiece is entitled, 'The World Belongs To Me' and Carlos goes off on Soulja Boy's 'Speakers Going Hammer' beat. Let me just say the beat is ill, and once again Carlos made the song his own. I don't know how he does it, but he always brings that fire to every track put in front of him. STOP SLEEPING ON HIM. Carlos St. John is the future, if you haven't heard of him before PLEASE stop slacking and check him out.

Blow Them Away by Carlos St. John feat. Azeem Salem

You already know what goes down on Tuesdays, new Carlos St. John music. We should just make Tuesdays Carlos St. John day (just my idea), but the new song is called 'Blow Them Away' featuring Azeem Salem (yes mr. azeem from the track 'Breath Again') and this one samples Rick Ross' 'Free Mason' beat and yes Carlos destroys the track once again after ripping Kanye's 'Runaway' beat (Download that here). After much anticipation from all this reading, please download and tell your friends to download 'Blow Them Away.'

Ticker Tape Parade by Carlos St. John

New Carlos St. John (I honestly love this man) so I guess Tuesdays are when he gives his Portfolio Stock Holders something new (and me likeyyy and if you aren't a stock holder get it together and check him out). The new song he just dropped not too long ago is called 'Ticker Tape Parade'...And it's not too hard like it's more laid back (i guess thats how to describe it), but the song is hot and he really kills it without rapping about materialistic stuff like most mainstream rap nowadayz which is the type of rap/hip hop I prefer. The piano for this song is simply incredible, the chords are easy, but it just fits the tone of the song so well. Oh and apparently the beat is off of Kanye West's 'Runaway' track he released a few weeks ago, either way it's still hot.

'Perfect' by Carlos St. John

So I talked to Carlos St. John today (sooo excited about that), and he's dropping a new EP very soon, and just dropped some new stuff today like a couple hours ago, and as usual it's a banger. I'm so excited for him, I really wanna see him get the recognition he definitely deserves in the music industry. Oh and as you all know I help contribute to TheChillinVillains and found out the other day that Mr. Carlos St. John did the intro for their fall mixtape which I'm sooo jealous about, but congrats to them though, check out TheChillinVillains! Without further ado, here's Carlos St. John with 'Perfect,' I'll keep ya'll updated with what's new with his music.

Hard in Da Paint

Carlos St. John

Model/Rapper who i stumbled upon yesterday and I am feeling his style. He uses many band instruments in his beats which give it a more authenticy kind of feel, and unlike most rap nowadayz it isn't about gettin women, money, cars and clothes. He's another artist that gives hip hop hope.
