Eblis the Persian Dolphin

Shoutouts to Eblis, the Persian Dolphin, for sending me his music a while back, and I owe you an apology for waiting so long to post your stuff. I've been super lazy about updating this, but I checked out that youtube and I love it. I'm still going through all the songs to figure out which one is my favorite, but all the beats are incredible. They're just so easy to get lost in, and you just sit there listening to the sounds and you have to listen to another and another and another one. A little about Eblis, he is a 16 year old out of the Seattle, Washington area trying to get his music out to a wider listening group. Most of his songs are beats/instrumentals without someone singing or rapping over them to give off that lost in thought kind of vibe I was describing. He is also apart of a group STK (Star Trek) made up of photographers, editors, etc. I seriously look forward to hearing more of your music, and if there's a download link or mixtape I'll definitely post it so everyone can have a little Eblis on their playlists.

Area 'Welcome to Hell (feat. T.D.K.)'

This isn't a new track, but I've been bumping it more lately because it's just that amazing all around. The beat and the flows by Area and T.D.K. all match up and I am digging both of their verses as well. I think it was a great move to add that reversed part to end the song, it's a nice final touch to the song. I highly recommend checking out 'Welcome to Hell' by AreaBDK or Area if you're looking for a track to get into his music. I think compared to his 2nd official mixtape (I'm pretty sure it was), "2 Fingers" has a much better production than "The Debut" and you can see the change in lyrical content from both mixtapes. It's interesting to see Area's progress in the music game, you can catch him performing from time to time out here in New England. He's had a pretty recent performance at Toad's Place in CT, who knows, maybe Area will be a name you here more and more in the music game. Here's another prep school rapper (who I also know personally) trying to grind out here. Take a listen to 'Welcome to Hell' and download that "2 Fingers" mixtape and be on the lookout to some brand new music from Area I believe later this month.

Johny Hawkins "OG (Mixtape Download)"

This is a submission by an Atlanta mc by the name of Johny Hawkins with his 3rd mixtape entitled "OG." I don't know much about Johny Hawkins, but I am feeling this tape so far. I'm still in the midst of listening to the full tape, but I am definitely feeling the samples used in here from classics like Master P, Pimp C (R.I.P.), Three 6 Mafia and Bun B. I wish I had more of a bio to post about Hawkins, but right now just know that this tape has a great feel to it with an 80s/90s kind of vibe to it. Download and check the kid Johny Hawkins out, I'm sure you will dig him like I do.

Robb Bank$ "Calendars (Mixtape)"

I've been listening to Robb Bank$ for a minute now, and I know little about him, but what I do know is that he makes some fresh music. I first got hip to him from his 'Counting' music video which has some great visuals along with a just rock/rap beat type of instrumental going on that you just can't not love. Bank$ born in New York (I forget where exactly), but raised in Florida describes his music as things he's witnessed day to day growing up, and just his experiences. With every track off of his solo debut, "Calendars" you'll get something different atop some incredible beats. I'm definitely impressed by his sound and I would love to meet him if I ever got the chance to, and I'm interested in listening to his group stuff as the other half of Tuesday Thru Sunday with Matt Meyer Lansky. So far my favorite track off of the "Calendars" mixtape would have to be 'Fine/The Come Down pt. 2' there's just something about Bank$' flow and the beat that makes this song irresistible.

Iggy Azalea 'D.R.U.G.S. (feat. YG)'

I heard this track a few days ago and I just can't stop listening to it. The song is called 'D.R.U.G.S.' by an Australian born rapper by the name of Iggy Azalea who I'm taking is on YG's Pushaz Inc label. I'm hearing the comparisons to Nicki Minaj, and people are calling her a blend of Ke$ha and Nicki, but I'm not really feeling it or seeing it. After hearing this track, I listened to a few of her songs off of her "Ignorant Art" album and sorry to say I can't cosign her. Maybe it's the crazy hot beat of 'D.R.U.G.S.' that really gets me excited to hear this song and have it on repeat all day or something, but I can't really dig her other stuff. "Ignorant Art" is alright to me at best, it's not something I'd go out of my way to go cop and her freestyles are alright at best. Maybe I need to take a few more listens but I can't say that I'm an Iggy Azalea fan, but I do happen to love love loveeee this song. Check out the music video for 'D.R.U.G.S.' and download "Ignorant Art" if you want to hear more from Iggy.

A$AP Rocky "LiveLoveA$ap (Mixtape)"

So I've heard about Harlem's own, A$AP Rocky, a minute back, but I wasn't proactive to put him on here before he really started to blow up. He recently signed a 3 million dollar deal to Polo Grounds (don't know much about the record label), and has been heating up the internet lately with a nice fanbase one that includes myself. I may not know much about the rap game and all its details, but I don't think we've really heard many rappers representing Harlem since the Diplomats were heavy on the scene. A$AP looks to blend that Southern (Texas mainly) trill lifestyle and his Harlem world to create a sound of music that is unique and different than other rappers out there. He recently dropped his "LiveLoveA$ap" mixtape which is definitely a banger, and if this is your first interaction with A$ap then please listen to 'Purple Swag' just a little something to check out and then listen to his other tracks. One of my new favorites is 'Bass' which I'll leave here for ya'll to listen and download. Recognize his name, A$AP.

VenoM 'Know Now (feat. Chief)'

VenoM, a rapper out of the Cali area, and his style blends laid back and dope rhymes to create something unique and completely his own. At the young age of 20, VenoM looks to prove to his fans that he has the talent and wants to bring something different to the music industry that goes against traditional rap music of today. The song 'Know Now' featuring Chief on the hook, has a relaxing beat with VenoM To quote, "VenoM is all about releasing your imagination and not letting popular culture get the best of you," so enjoy and and let VenoM take control. If you want to hear more of VenoM I HIGHLY suggest that you check out his other music, like him on Facebook and deff show your love and support by sharing his music with your friends.

Rebecca Black 'Friday (Official Video)'

So if you guys have not heard about this song and video 'Friday' by an up and coming singer Rebecca Black you need to watch this now. To accurately sum up the video in just a few comments would be hard. It's honestly something that's different and the lyrics to this song, you just can't compare them with anything else you've ever heard. Rebecca Black is the new youth revolutionary when it comes to music, she brings a style of music thats been pushed back in the music industry for far too long. Her lyrics connect with the daily problems of teens and with that I applaud her. I hope she will never lose sight on what she stands for and continue to sing about the teenage struggle. This video is not heavily edited and it shows real teenagers having fun on that ever so loved day of the week, Friday. There is also a special appearance by a rapper, who's name I am unaware of, that adds to the fun of 'Friday' so check it out and let me know what you guys think.

Theo Martins 'Lo-Fi Love (Produced by $port)'

Theo Martins, a musician hailing out of the Rhode Island area and owner of The R.e.d. Ballon (Really Extraordinary Dreams), is continuing to build up steam and gain more lovers of his music as he releases more and more new songs. He's been getting his name around the music scene atleast since 2008, and has been dropping mixtapes that showcase his works as well. This song, 'Lo-Fi Love' was created after his recent trip to Zambia in South Africa and the feelings and sights he witnessed while on that trip. The song has one of those classic beats (kinda sounds sampled? maybe, maybe not), and you can tell by his voice that the feelings he felt were real and really impacted his life. The song isn't one of those high energy rap songs, but almost like a poem with a musical backdrop that helps you to understand what Theo Martins experienced during that trip to Zambia.

Pac Div 'Your F****** Song'

Another ill song by the guys at Pac Div. The beat is just incredible and the guys go to work to make another hot track for the fans. I have no idea why people don't listen to these guys more and hear this stuff on the radio and what not. On the other hand atleast you can still be able to bump Pac Div and be the first one to say you were on it first before they really hit mainstream all over the place. The song 'Your F****** Song' is a dedication to the girls that take too long, that need to stay out your life, that perpetrate (taken from the lyrics). Some stuff in the song I'm not really about (calling women the "B" word, I sound like I'm 10 but I try not to swear), but the instrumental has me playing it over, and over and over again. If you've never heard of Pac Div and what to hear something else, check out their song 'Fa Real' on my partner site the ChillinVilllains.com.

Mike Jaggerr 'Away (Clean Version)'

I just found this song, and it is incredible. It's another one of those calmer, deep rap songs that tell a story in it. The guy behind it goes by the name of Mike Jaggerr (sounds faintly similar to Mick Jagger now doesn't it? lol) and he has been seeing some more shine and buzz as of late because of his upcoming mixtape "The 11th Hour" coming out January 11th. In the song he describes his want to get away from all of this sadness that he's faced in his life, and how he will be able to get away from it all in the end. I enjoy the beat, and the rapping over it blends so well and the story he paints will surely get you nodding your head and really listening to what he has to say. Just listening to this song is a great indication of what he has to offer, and apparently the music video is in the works for this song and I am looking forward to seeing it. Be on the look out for Mike Jagger in 2011.

Laze & Royal 'Skylines' feat. Nikki

I was just cruising looking for some new stuff to put up and I stumbled upon this gem. Don't know much about Laze & Royal (not surprising), but from the looks of it, they look like twins...kinda a little, not sure. Ha just looked it up and they are brothers and they're both 19 (still not sure if they're twins but whatevs) and they're a hip hop duo out of Los Angeles, they come from a musical background, and just from this song it looks like they have a promising career. The chorus of the song is so catchy and I'm in love with Nikki's voice on it, and the guys paint a picture with their lyrics on the song. Be on the look out for more of their music.

Bed Stuy Dee 'Brooklyn Girl'

Some more local artists on the come up, if you rep Brooklyn (BK Stand Up), are from it, or even been/passed thru Brooklyn then you need/must know Bed Stuy Dee. He may just be a teen trying to make it in the music industry, but he deff shows a lot of promise with this track. Not to mention, I like it cause his voice is nice (idk what it is but that voice is niceeee). 'Brooklyn Girl' is that ode to those girls from Brooklyn that are just all around better than girls from other cities in NY (but they don't compare to CT girls lol). So if you are that 'Brooklyn Girl' Bed Stuy Dee is looking for then you deff gotta bump this track wherever you're at.

'Can't Forget It' by Bagginz

Saw the link for this song a few days ago, but I was extremely busy and some other stuff to deal with which prevented me from posting for a while, but I'm back and with something new for ya'll to listen to. The song is called 'Can't Forget It' and it samples Demi Lovato's 'Don't Forget' song, the outcome was amazing I must say. The beat sounds good, and apparently Bagginz (the artist) wrote the song about a girl that did him wrong (from his YouTube) and he is getting back at her with this song. It doesn't go in and bash her, but just does it in a creative and artistic way, I'm down for more Bagginz songs/news.

Mik Thomas 'When You See Me'

Mik Thomas, a rapper out of the Texas area, but has lived in many states so maybe you can say he's from your hood. I stumbled upon him and his music like a month or so ago, contacted him on featuring on here and dropping the exclusive tracks before they get out worldwide and he agreed, but it's been up to me to stop being so lazy and actually get it together. To Mik, I'm sorry, but I got you the whole college thing is crazy right now. Let's get back to the music tho, I don't know much about him, but I hope to get more info soon, but just listening to his music you know he has a real passion for it. The song I'm posting 'When You See Me' is just a great example on how, idk I don't wanto to use the word "real" but it is authentic. It's that true hip hop that you don't really get unless you're listening to underground artists who put that time and effort into a track and aren't just doing it to make it big and exploit materialistic items and what not. Mik stays true to the game and is dropping a mixtape soon (hopefully I'll get the name and maybe the album cover in my next post), more exclusive tracks. Just a whole bunch of Mik Thomas so remember the name.

Oh and the picture is from him (Mik Thomas), but I just did a little editing to it so let me know if you like it. I still have work to do on editing, but I think it came out pretty well.

'Make A Killin' by tabi Bonney feat. Pusha T

I know I'm a little (maybe a lot) late on this, but I had the song a few days ago, but I've been busy visiting college and what not right now so I haven't really had time to blog and put music up, but in the next few minutes (and I promise) I'll have a few new posts for ya'll to listen to/read. A few updates, I got tagged for possible copyright infringement on that last Kelly Rowland song I posted. My fault, I apologize for that and I had no intentions of doing that. I totally support Kelly and her music venture so I'll repost it with probs a link to the song on YouTube or something. Alright now back to this song, it's called 'Make A Killin' by tabi Bonney featuring Pusha T. I don't know much about tabi Bonney, but let me just say this is a GREAT first impression for me with this song. The beat reminds me of a Caribbean kind of sound like a Reggae kind of feel to it and Pusha T and tabi both straight kill it. It's just something you can vibe to and I can deff see this hitting the radio real soon.

J.Vill 'Something Crazy' (Wynter Gordon Remix)

So my mans J.Vill (A ChillinVillains Premiere Artist) sent me the track like a week ago, but I was mad lazy to put it up (sorry lol). But the track is called 'Something Crazy' and it is something crazy lol. But really I think (not really sure) it's an original track by Wynter Gordon (another group/artist I believe) and JVill did his thing on the track (I might be totally wrong so don't quote me on it lol). It's like/it IS a party song to get hype to if you play it up all the way. Like I can see thing being played in the club on a friday or saturday night (or whenever you people go out to party lol) and everyone just going crazy. Enough blabbing check out 'Something Crazy.'

Sunshine by Rye Rye feat. M.I.A.

Heard this track the other day (but was too lazy to post it the day I found it) but the song is called 'Sunshine' by Rye Rye, I believe she's one of M.I.A.'s artists, and it has that same kind of no specific genre (similar to M.I.A.) it's something that anyone can get into. If you're down for new and different types of music and LOVE M.I.A. then you'll love Rye Rye. M.I.A. (I've said her name so many times in this post) sings the hook and just makes it an overall hot track.

Rekles ARdiss Feat. Apollo

So I heard this song a few days ago (referred to by another artist I've poasted on here) and I do like it, I feel like their flows/styles are kind of similar in that they both use/make/have (whatever you want to call it) these like real old school kind of beats when they rhyme. It's just something I'm more attracted to than the stuff you hear everyday on the radio or whatever. Not really sure who the artist is (like where he's from, etc, etc) but his name is Rekles ARdiss and maybe you'll see him in the big lights.

Ticker Tape Parade by Carlos St. John

New Carlos St. John (I honestly love this man) so I guess Tuesdays are when he gives his Portfolio Stock Holders something new (and me likeyyy and if you aren't a stock holder get it together and check him out). The new song he just dropped not too long ago is called 'Ticker Tape Parade'...And it's not too hard like it's more laid back (i guess thats how to describe it), but the song is hot and he really kills it without rapping about materialistic stuff like most mainstream rap nowadayz which is the type of rap/hip hop I prefer. The piano for this song is simply incredible, the chords are easy, but it just fits the tone of the song so well. Oh and apparently the beat is off of Kanye West's 'Runaway' track he released a few weeks ago, either way it's still hot.
