Andy Milonakis 'We Are Farmers (feat. Dirt Nasty & Riff Raff)'

YESSSS, I needed this tonight. Some leaked Andy Milonakis called 'We Are Farmers' featuring Dirt Nasty and Riff Raff. Let me just say this beat is incredible and if I had speakers it would be blasted in my room right now and for the next few weeks because it's just incredible. Everybody came on the track ready to murder the beat and they all did just that. Honestly you can't just listen to this once, you have to put it on repeat and just listen to it again. If you ever thought that Andy Milonakis' rap game was a joke please rethink that after you hear him go in on this track. This song was definitely what I needed to top off this night. Now excuse me as I pull out the Ric Flair McLaren, WOOO. Shoutouts to Derek Allen for producing this monster.

"Build and Destroy"

Just listened to this sweet instrumental mixtape piece by this girl I follow, and it's really dope. She put together 17 songs with some amazing instrumentals, threw them all together on one mixtape "Build and Destroy" (I'm assuming that's what the project is called). It features music from Apollo Brown, Clams Casino, Evil Needle, Mecca-83, Flying Lotus and much more. I personally have heard of a few of these artists, but I am loving the different song choices on here. Here's a 12 minute snippet with samples of each song and you can download the full mixtape with all the songs used as well. Shoutouts to potent for putting together a masterpiece.

Calligraphist 'Feel it in the Air'

Shoutouts to George Calligraphist for submitting me his music (sorry for the wait in the posting, I've been super busy recently), but here we go. Calligraphist is an underground rapper who brings back the actual lyrics side of rapping in his music. He strives to bring that thought provoking and hard hitting music back to the game with a sound thats his own. His deep voice adds to the music he's putting out and allows you to sit and really listen to what it is he's saying. His remix to Beanie Sigel's 'Feel it in the Air' track is amazing, I usually don't listen to remixes of this song because I do believe Beanie killed it, and the original is a hard act to follow, but I honestly believe that Calligraphist did a great job on this. It's a brief track, and like he says, all he wants you to do is listen. He raps about the struggle it is in this hard music industry and how it's harder for him to make it, but I think he does have a chance. Check out 'Feel it in the Air' and support Calligraphist.

Iggy Azalea 'D.R.U.G.S. (feat. YG)'

I heard this track a few days ago and I just can't stop listening to it. The song is called 'D.R.U.G.S.' by an Australian born rapper by the name of Iggy Azalea who I'm taking is on YG's Pushaz Inc label. I'm hearing the comparisons to Nicki Minaj, and people are calling her a blend of Ke$ha and Nicki, but I'm not really feeling it or seeing it. After hearing this track, I listened to a few of her songs off of her "Ignorant Art" album and sorry to say I can't cosign her. Maybe it's the crazy hot beat of 'D.R.U.G.S.' that really gets me excited to hear this song and have it on repeat all day or something, but I can't really dig her other stuff. "Ignorant Art" is alright to me at best, it's not something I'd go out of my way to go cop and her freestyles are alright at best. Maybe I need to take a few more listens but I can't say that I'm an Iggy Azalea fan, but I do happen to love love loveeee this song. Check out the music video for 'D.R.U.G.S.' and download "Ignorant Art" if you want to hear more from Iggy.

Boogie KaZamm "Indifferent" Mixtape

Shoutouts to my guy Boogie and his production game, and the up coming/recently released (if you're on the East Coast it just dropped and if you're on the west side like myself you'll be getting it early. If you don't know, Boogie is a producer (17 at that) out of the mid-West and looking to expand his already growing fan base with his dope beats for local and up and coming artists from his area. The mixtape does feature the track I put up a few months back called 'Just A Kid' (formally called 'FREE-STILE' on the mixtape) by EJAAZ and other songs by a few other artists like Breeze, HowFly, Jayy Starr & Gabrielle Wilkerson and a couple others featured on some tracks. I'm currently listening to this 10-track mixtape so I can't tell you my personal faves, but take some time to download and check it out for yourself. If you're an up and coming artist and would like to have a Boogie beat, then hit him up.

Asher Roth & Chuck Inglish "In the Kitchen (Music Video)"

My guy Asher Roth and one half of the duo, The Cool Kids, Chuck Inglish have teamed up to make a hot track called "In the Kitchen" which as the title states was made in the kitchen, and yes the music video is also of them performing the song in the kitchen. Once again, Chuck Inglish has put together some dope beats, I honestly have no idea how he constantly puts out fresh tracks after fresh tracks but kudos to the man, and Roth comes once again with his slick rhymes to finish the 1, 2 punch of the whole record. The video came out a few weeks ago, but this is the first chance I've had to actually listen to and watch the video, and I give it my whole hearted recommendation for all Chuck Inglish and Asher Roth fans and those of you that don't know much about the two. Deff on the lookout for some more Roth songs because I need more of his music. Video directed by Mike Waxx & Mike Carson.

A$AP Rocky "LiveLoveA$ap (Mixtape)"

So I've heard about Harlem's own, A$AP Rocky, a minute back, but I wasn't proactive to put him on here before he really started to blow up. He recently signed a 3 million dollar deal to Polo Grounds (don't know much about the record label), and has been heating up the internet lately with a nice fanbase one that includes myself. I may not know much about the rap game and all its details, but I don't think we've really heard many rappers representing Harlem since the Diplomats were heavy on the scene. A$AP looks to blend that Southern (Texas mainly) trill lifestyle and his Harlem world to create a sound of music that is unique and different than other rappers out there. He recently dropped his "LiveLoveA$ap" mixtape which is definitely a banger, and if this is your first interaction with A$ap then please listen to 'Purple Swag' just a little something to check out and then listen to his other tracks. One of my new favorites is 'Bass' which I'll leave here for ya'll to listen and download. Recognize his name, A$AP.

KiD CuDi feat. Cage 'Maniac (Short Film)(Dir. Shia LeBeouf)'

The day we've all been waiting for, the video for the 'Maniac' video which wasn't just a music video, but a short film directed by one of Hollywood's hottest, and a huge Cage fan and friend, Shia Lebeof. Ever since I heard that 'Maniac' would be shot as a short film and released on Halloween Day I had been excited for it, and the time has finally come. Cudders had tweeted around midnight EST that the 'Maniac' video would be dropped, but some complications ensued and it was released later on Halloween Day, but nonetheless the video is here. It's so dark and creepy, and it follows two serial killers around as they pretty much do their thing, the two killers being Scott Mescudi and Chris Palko aka KiD CuDi & Cage. I've recently become a Cage fan and listening to his music is like a walk into his mind, and him playing the role of a serial killer is just beyond creepy. He fits the part so well (not sure how complimenty that statement is, but he does do a great job), and Cudders seems more like sweet serial killer almost. They both do an amazing job in this film, and the ending atleast for me was not expected. Congrats to Shia on another great directing piece, and CuDi & Cage on the collab.

Pac Div 'Useless (feat. Asher Roth)'

New music from Southern California's own, Pac Div featuring Asher Roth entitled 'Useless.' After the "Mania!" tape, and much more music before that, I've certainly become a Pacific Division fan, and this new track with one of my top rappers Asher Roth, I've just become more and more into Pac Div and their music. The song which will be featured on their up and coming new album "The Div" which is dropping very soon (November 8th to be exact), and I'm hoping it does drop then because I'm not ready for a push back like the "Mania!" mixtape. Just can't withhold such good music from the fans for so long. The track is clean and I'm digging the beat and the rhymes that Pac Div drops are just crazy, and it seems like Asher is always coming at some other white rapper in his recent rhymes. I know I'm totally making this assumption off of his verse on this and his 'Kidz These Days' track. Just listen to how he starts off on this track and tell me he don't sound like he's coming at somebody. Either way it's still hot. Dope track by these fellas and I'll deff be on the look out for that new Pac Div album. Also check out for them on "The Blue Slide Park Tour."

JMSN 'Alone (Official Video)'

I haven't really been posting much (totally my fault my loyal subscribers and The Brat Writes enthusiasts), but I do have a little something to hopefully make up for that. It's a song called 'Alone' by a guy who goes by JMSN, I don't know much about the guy, but I do plan on doing a little more research to give ya'll, but here is an official explanation of his video 'Alone' that he puts on his website: "Everything we do revolves around this something we want and its a constant battle.

We take medication and whatever else we can get to not think about the future and not worry if we’re getting back what we put in. Because more often than not we aren’t." (Read the rest here)I am After reading the explanation it just adds an extra like deep aspect to the video that you can already tell from watching (I'm sure that sentence made no sense lol). I'm definitely digging JMSN's voice and the content on this song, I've heard a few places that he sounds like another up and coming artist, The Weeknd, but I don't really see it, but hey thats just me. I like what he's doing here and I look forward to hearing more of JMSN's music.

Spank Rock 'Car Song (feat. Santigold)'

New music from Spank Rock featuring Santigold. The last time I heard a Spank Rock song was when I played Madden 07 and his song 'Backyard Betty' was on the soundtrack. I thought this song was like the greatest thing ever, and it still is an amazing song. I never really heard much else of Spank Rock's stuff other than that featured on some sports games soundtracks. I did just get him to this song he did featuring none other than Santigold called 'Car Song.' If you're looking for something different than the music on the radio deff give this song a try and I highly recommend Santigold's stuff as well. The beat to this song has some throwback 70s vibes with the instrumental, Santi providing the hook and Spank spitting his lyrics as usual. It's such a dope combination and something refreshing (beat wise), Spank still has his sexual references, but he makes it work. This is off of his upcoming "Everything is Boring and Everyone is a F*cking Liar" album.

Hopsin '#IllMindOfHopsin 4'

Trying to get back into the music blogging game, I've been slipping for a minute trying to get back into the school thing, adjusting to college life and spending my time blogging on another site (sorry ya'll). It isn't the same tho, I miss spending time finding new artists and those on the come up people and trying to put ya'll on to them. Here's some Hopsin, the song has been out for a few months now, and people are really getting into him (I guess sort of) right now. With the whole Odd Future movement in full blast right now, everyone is repping them and talking about Tyler like no other so when they hear/see someone diss him they go bonkers about it. I was put onto this video a while ago, but I never shared it on here. It's a dope video, directed & edited by Hopsin himself, and the video isn't really that crazy, but the focus I think is more on what he's saying. He takes shots at rappers who like bragging about money, and one specific shot at Tyler (which I totally agree with him on, "Goblin" was whack). If you listen to his other "Ill Mind Of Hopsin" videos you can tell he can really spit fire. Let me know what ya'll think.

Yelawolf 'Hard White (Up in the Club) (feat. Lil Jon)'

Yelawolf, Yelawolf, Yelawolf, boy oh boy did you come hard with this new track and video for the song 'Hard White (Up in the Club)' which does feature Lil Jon but I think the word feature should be "featured" with the air quotes because Lil Jon doesn't spit a verse or anything, but he I guess kind of does the chorus, but not really. Either way, it doesn't take away from the bossness of the song, from the verses Yela spits to the crazy amazing beat to go with it. This is like the first hard Yelawolf song I've heard where he really goes in over a crazy beat and rips it to shreds. The video for this is also pretty crazy, for the fellas, a lot of women, whipped cream/pie, girls (delicately) fighting and some other stuff. One thing I love, is that tie-dye hoodie that Yela rocks in the video because I'm not a fan of them, but just something about him wearing one makes me want to get/make a tie-dye hoodie just like that one. 'Hard White' is the first song off of Yela's upcoming album "Radioactive" so be on the lookout for that.

Notorious B.I.G. x Kanye West 'Suicidal Thoughts (White Lotus Runaway Mashup)'

So apparently this remix has been out for a few months now, but I am just getting hip to it, and I know that some of ya'll may be too so it's all right. I was just jamming along to whoever was playing some Biggie not too long ago outside my dorm, and I decided to listen to some as well on my laptop and I somehow came across this White Lotus mashup/remix of Notorious B.I.G.'s 'Suicidal Thoughts' which blends the chorus and the beat of Ye's 'Runaway.' There's just something about that beat which makes any song or verse just that much more sentimental and the song like a billion times better. I'm not really a fan of the original song because I thought Yeezy could have done more with the verses, and the first version of the song I actually heard was that by the one and only Carlos St. John (listen here), and I just fell in love with that version. However, the powerful reflections of B.I.G.'s 'Suicidal Thoughts' mashed up with the 'Runaway' beat are just incredible. Shoutouts to DJ White Lotus and the crew for putting this together, it's pure genius.

The Knux 'Run (feat. KiD CuDi)'

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, I've been busy with getting situated with school and what not, so I haven't really had any time to check out new music and what not. However, I do have some artists and stuff that I've been meaning to put you guys onto, but I haven't really had the chance to do so, but here's some fairly new music by a hip hop/rock and electro duo by the name of The Knux. The song 'Run' features one of my favorite artists, KiD CuDi (who does his darn thang on his verse), and I'm really diggin all the instruments, that guitar and drum piece really make the song. The chorus for the song is very simple and catchy to say the least, and I really love the difference in styles with CuDi's verse and the more singy/poppy sounds of The Knux. This duo/collaboration on the song was well done. Be on the lookout for 'Run' on The Knux's upcoming album, but you purchase the song now on iTunes.

KiD CuDi 'Spontaneously Combust (Old CuDi)'

For all you CuDi heads wanting to hear some new/old music in anticipation for "A Man Named Scott" (CuDi's mixtape before the album) and his rock styled album which I am unsure about the album title, but is due to be released in the Fall of next year (I believe). Recently posted some previously unreleased music from KiD CuDi entitled 'Spontaneously Combust' is slightly different from the KiD CuDi many of you know and love, but nonetheless Cudders still brings the heat and gives his fans another track that they can love. I honestly can't get enough of KiD CuDi whether it's some unheard of songs he did, some remixes he's on, or even just a blazing freestyle, CuDi always puts his heart and soul into his music.

Jadakiss & Styles P 'Otis (Freestyle)'

We all knew it was bound to happen, a million and one different remixes to Kanye & Jay-Z's track 'Otis,' and there has been a few somewhat remixes, freestyles whatever you wanna call it to the song that are decent and somewhat listenable. One of them happens to be the version that Jadakiss & Styles P released. I don't know what it is, but their wordplay is crazy and their like flows together idk how to explain it, but they can finish each other's sentences very well. I like it when they do music together, and they always know how to take someone else's song and make it as good or even better than the original version. Take a listen to their version of 'Otis' and you can't tell me they didn't do the darn thang over the beat.

Young the Giant 'Cough Syrup (Official Video)'

Sorry I haven't been posting lately ya'll, I've been busy with work and not on my grind to find new music to post for you all, but I'm back so let's get to it. I've been on this band Young the Giant (more when they were known as The Jakes) for a few years now, and today while I just so happened to be watching MTV this morning and I was watching the end of the video for 'Cough Syrup' which I was taken aback by because I had no idea there was a video for this. This is the first time I've seen a Young the Giant or The Jakes music video, and I can really dig what they did here. I wasn't sure how they'd visualize the song, but I like it. I've also seen a few of their live performances and they also perform live very well. An amazing band ya'll should deff check out.

Cam Meekins "Blazed & Confused (Mixtape)"

Cam Meekins, if you've never heard of him take a second while I put you onto him, he's a rapper out of the Massachusetts area, so shoutouts to the 413 and other area codes in Mass (lol). I've heard a couple of his freestyles and songs from Cam on his YouTube and I was impressed with his style and after hearing this 6 track mixtape entitled "Blazed & Confused" I'm thoroughly delighted by it. I wasn't totally sure what to expect, but Cam really did put his all into this tape and I hope you all are able to see the hard work that he's putting in as he gets deeper into the rap game. My favorite song off of "Blazed & Confused" would have to be 'Purple' at the moment. The song feels so real and he's really telling a story through his rhymes on this song and it's what really attracts me to the song. STOP SLEEPING ON CAM MEEKINS.

Kanye West & Jay-Z 'Otis (feat. Otis Redding)'

If you don't know, the man Kanye West aka Yeezy and the legend Jay-Z have/are teaming up to create a collab album named "Watch The Throne" set to release digitally on August 1st, and in stores on August 5th. One song off the album (which after they released the tracklisting is a bonus track) 'H.A.M.' has received mixed reviews, I on the other hand love that song forget all that illuminati talk and just take it as it is which is music, and now another leak off of the album has arrived. This one entitled 'Otis' which samples the late Otis Redding, and both Yeezy and Hov go off on the track and that oldies kind of vibe that the Otis Redding sample gives off helps to create something you can't stop listening to. I'm deff excited for this collaboration and I'm really anxious to hear what kind of stuff Kanye & Jay-Z bring to the album and who they invite for a feature as well. Be on the lookout for "Watch the Throne" early August.

Theophilus London & Kreayshawn 'Shrimp Pt. 2 (Prod. DJ Carnage)'

I haven't really been up on my Theophilus London ever since I posted about him a while back, and about his "This Charming Mixtape" and I do know he recently released some new music, and an album (I think), so I deff have to check that out. Kreayshawn, a recently signed rapper (or whatever you wanna call it) out of the bay area, is on the track with Theophilus and I'm not trying to knock Kreayshawn and whatever she's trying to do, but I'm not a fan. Her style is different, yes I'll give her that, but she's basic to me. Nothing is appealing to her rhymes, but people like it so I won't knock it. The song 'Shrimp Pt. 2' is produced by DJ Carnage, I don't know much about him, but he does have some nice mixes on his youtube account. The beat for this is out of control, and Theophilus straight killed it, but I think there should be another verse added on to really complete the song.

Carlos St. John 'Here We Are (feat. Azeem)'

It's been a minute since we've all (including myself) heard some new and hot music by the one and only Carlos St. John, but if you've been following his twitter you'd know that he recently released a new joint 'Here We Are' featuring none other than Azeem Salem on the hook and produced by The Argonauts. I don't know about ya'll, but I miss Carlos St. John Day when he would release something new and hot every Tuesday. I can't wait for him to drop a full length LP under a major label and doing the big things I know he has in store. 'Here We Are' is that track that compares Mr. St. John's life before while he was struggling and as Azeem sings "came from nothing" to the empire that Carlos St. John is the mastermind behind. If you want to hear more from the one and only Carlos St. John check out his official website, and check out the songs I've posted here as well.

Manny X 'I Just Want To Know'

I first just want to apologize to my guy Manny X because he sent me his music like a while ago and I've been wild slow and late with posting it on here, but the wait is over. Manny X you've probs heard of him, but for those who haven't he is a singer/songwriter/producer/what can't the man do musically representing Puerto Rico and currently living here in the states. Manny X's track, 'I Just Want To Know' is a gorgeous song that displays his piano playing skills along with his soothing voice singing about that love that is no longer in your life and reminiscing on the moments shared and if her new love does the things Manny has done for her now. I enjoy how there really isn't any other instruments or any other effects or what have you in the background that takes away from the beautifulness of the song and his voice. His range is nicely shown in this love song and a great starter song for people to hear and then wanna check out more from the up and comer Manny X. He already has many songs, released a couple albums and has his music everywhere and has fans not just in the US but also internationally based. I deff suggest Manny X to anyone out there that wants to hear some good R&B music sung by someone of real talent.

Frank Ocean 'Novacane (Official Video)'

Frank Ocean is on a roll with dropping the videos for his music, he's just hit us with the release of the music video for his song 'Novacane' which has been getting much radio play recently. Unlike the 'We All Try' video this is the official version and once again, Frank stuns us with the visuals for 'Novacane.' One thing I really enjoy about his videos is that they aren't really flashy, but they really get you interested in wanting to see what happens next and they relate to the video which is always a plus. To be honest, after watching the video and really listening to the lyrics I can understand what he's saying and going through in the song. I'm not gonna get into detail, but I want ya'll to check it out yourselves. The video was directed by Nabil Elderkin, and this song along with many more hits is on Frank's "Nostalgia. Ultra" album which is going to be re-released and on iTunes (pretty soon I believe).

Gym Class Heroes 'Stereo Hearts (Feat. Adam Levine)'

Finally new music by Gym Class Heroes. I feel like it's been forever since I've heard some new stuff from these guys. If you forgot or don't know who Gym Class Heroes are, they are a group that mixes hip hop/rap flows from front man Travis McCoy or "Travie" for those of you that know him through his solo act and a dope band behind him rocking it out on the drums, guitar and bass. I've honestly been waiting a cool minute for them to drop something new or if Travie's solo act meant the end of the band, but they have dropped a new track 'Stereo Hearts' which features Maroon 5's frontman Adam Levine singing the hook. I'm digging the song, it's something poppy, dancy with that hip hop vibe to it and I like the collab between Gym Class and Adam. I'm hoping they drop a new CD or at least more music.

Frank Ocean 'We All Try (UNofficial Video)'

Frank Ocean, maybe you've heard of him or maybe you've been living under a rock all this time, but he is a member of the loved and hated group Odd Future, but instead of bringing the rhymes as does the rest of the members of Odd Future, but Frank is a singer with a gorgeous voice at that. I first bought into the hype after listening to his song 'Swim Good' and immediately had to download his album "nostralgia/ultra" and the whole album is amazing with great samples and original music. 'We All Try' has recently become my new favorite song by him and I am excited that he has shot and released a video for it. Just found out this is just an unofficial video for the song, either way here it is. The concept for the video is amazing, and will definitely have you on the edge of your seat until the end.

"I still believe in man..."

Yelawolf 'Daddy's Lambo (Official Video)'

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for this video to drop and today is the day. Yelawolf and his team have dropped the HIGHLY anticipated music video for his song 'Daddy's Lambo' which features the production of DJ Drama as you know of Rob Dyrdek's "Fantasy Factory." The song if you haven't heard it is...well I'll just let you guys listen to it and watch the video. Yelawolf has been doing big things recently, with the signing to Shady Records (Eminem's Record Label), continuing to put out hot music for his fans, and now the drop of 'Daddy's Lambo.' It's a great day for Yelawolf fans. I hope ya'll get out and support by buying his music, videos, cop those CDs. Might I add that it was dirty of him to pull off with her Lambo while she got out to go pee.

Kanye West 'Monster (Official Music Video)(Feat. Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj & Bon Iver)'

So if you remember I posted the video for Yeezy's song 'Monster' and I guess apparently that wasn't the official video, it kept being taken down and all this on YouTube, but guess what? The real and OFFICIAL music video for Kanye's song 'Monster' has been released to the public and it's crazy how different the actual video is. Lol, but seriously what was the point of this? The "new" and "official" video is the same one I posted a while ago except it has slightly better quality for this one and they added in that like 30 second singing part by Bon Iver (I think). I mean sure I didn't actually watch the new video to fully check out the differences between the two versions, but the parts that I did see were similar. I'm not really a fan of this song, some people think it's illuminati related or whatevs, so call it what you want.

KiD CuDi 'Marijuana (Official Video)(Dir. by Shia LaBeouf)'

Yes, another new CuDi post for ya'll. The man, the myth, the rager, KiD CuDi has debuted the music video for his song 'Marijuana' and I have it for ya'll. This is one of my favorite songs off of the "Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager" album (well I mean is there even a song off of that album that I don't like? nah didn't think so). The video which like the video for 'Soundtrack 2 My Life' and 'Mojo So Dope' where it's not a usual music video, but some actual footage of Cudders and his boys and his fans and yes you called it that pretty green bud. I really like these music vids Cud does instead of trying to act something out and what not because these seem more real and like he's inviting us into his world through video and music. "Trust me, it's gonna be okay"

KiD CuDi & Dot Da Genius 'Perfect is the Word'

New music by none other than Mr. Rager aka KiD CuDi entitled 'Perfect is the Word.' Cudders has been teasing us with something new for the past two days or so and he has released a new track to his eager fans. The song 'Perfect is the Word' is from Cudders and his band "2 Be Continuim" to show off his rock wizard flow. Maybe this will be his debut track off of his upcoming Rock album or maybe it's just a sampler for us as something to be expected when he does give us more of the rock like music. The song is something a lot slower and smoother than 'Erase Me' which shows off a more band like environment, but don't get me wrong it's not a slow ballad. I'm feeling what Cudders is doing on this track, and I can't wait to hear more.

Ejaaz 'Just A Kid (Prod. by @BoogieKazamm)'

New music from a young up and comer by the name of Ejaaz the Spazz or Ejazz for short representing Indiana to the fullest. From this track I can tell Nap Town is home to some dope artists just waiting to get the shine that they deserve. The song 'Just A Kid' displays Ejaaz's talents on the mic over a Boogie Kazamm beat. 'Just A Kid' is something of a laid back track, yet Ejaaz still manages to go hard and drop some crazy lines that will have you quoting for the rest of the day. I'm looking forward to hearing more from him in the future, I'm especially digging his voice. It's just something about it that is different than other people that rap, and it adds something new to his rapping. If you like the beat the I highly suggest you check out more stuff done by my guy Boogie Kazamm.

Adele 'Rolling in the Deep (Jamie xx Remix)(Feat. Childish Gambino)'

I honestly don't know what I waited so long before I checked out Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino's music. If you haven't heard of Childish Gambino, I highly suggest that you take some time out of your busy lives and listen to some of his stuff. I'll start ya'll off with this remix he did of Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' (which might I add is already perfect in and of itself), but Childish flipped the beat and his verse really blended in this new version to make something even catchier for those hip hop heads that were hesitant on listening to the original version. Donald Glover is an actor along with being a rapper and plays on the television show "Community" so check him out either on tv or doing his thing on the music scene.

VenoM 'Know Now (feat. Chief)'

VenoM, a rapper out of the Cali area, and his style blends laid back and dope rhymes to create something unique and completely his own. At the young age of 20, VenoM looks to prove to his fans that he has the talent and wants to bring something different to the music industry that goes against traditional rap music of today. The song 'Know Now' featuring Chief on the hook, has a relaxing beat with VenoM To quote, "VenoM is all about releasing your imagination and not letting popular culture get the best of you," so enjoy and and let VenoM take control. If you want to hear more of VenoM I HIGHLY suggest that you check out his other music, like him on Facebook and deff show your love and support by sharing his music with your friends.

Nino_AM 'Ambitious Mind'

Nino_AM, an up and coming rapper out of the 860 (that's Connecticut for those of you who aren't hip to us yet), and he's looking to take over the music game and by the sound of his music his future looks promising. Nino_AM brings something smooth and different to the rap/hip hop game. He doesn't rap about the usual like most mainstream artists nowadays, but something that makes you think. You can listen to Nino's music from song to song and not get tired of it, and his song 'Ambitious Mind' is an example of that. The song samples the instrumental to KiD CuDi's song 'Trapped in my Mind' and Nino did his thing on the track and create something he can call his own. I can see Nino blowing up in the future and it's so nice to see someone with real rhymes ready to do something big.

Beyoncé 'Girls (Who Run the World) (Full Version)'

New music from the Queen, Beyoncé is finally here. The new single entitled 'Girls (Who Run the World)' is different from the music we've heard from Beyoncé in the past years, and I've been reading some mixed reviews on the song, but personally I love it. It's I guess you would say "popish," but I think it's just really upbeat and fun and a track for all the girls out there that run the world. This is the full version of the song and I honestly can not wait to hear what more she has to offer on her new album as well. The song to me is one of those empowering songs for us girls to let our male counterparts know who run the world. We got it going on and thanks to Bey we have our own theme song now. So next time someone gets confused on who runs the world, just shout 'GIRLS.'

KiD CuDi Quits Smoking Weed & Performs 'Marijuana' On Stage

If you don't already know, the Man on the Moon, Mr. Rager aka KiD CuDi has announced he quit smoking weed. To some it may be very shocking, but if you listen to why he made this important decision in his life you can understand why. CuDi sites his often use of the drug, and how he was missing out on very important moments in his life because of his use of Marijuana and has decided to take a step back and not use the drug anymore. I applaud Cudders for this decision, and we all know he will still be our Lonely Stoner even if he's not smoking weed. I hope you all can respect his decision and continue to support Cudders as he continues to make that good good music for us, and give us those awesome live performances. Along with his decision to quiet smoking, CuDi performs his song 'Marijuana' off of his "Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager" album. Enjoy.

Gabe Bondoc 'Trenches'

Gabe Bondoc. He labels himself as a guitarist, singer, songwriter and nerd. What I can tell is that he has an amazing voice and his music is wonderful. The song 'Trenches' which is off of his "Spring 2011 EP" displays his guitar skills complimented by his gorgeous voice to create a beautiful sounding song. 'Trenches' is about remembering what side you're on. I love the lyrics in this song, and it kind of reminds me of 'Grenade' by Bruno Mars, except this one sounds realer (I guess that's what I'm trying to say) and more emotional compared to Bruno Mars' song. I can see a really promising future for Gabe especially if he continues to make beautiful music like 'Trenches.' What I'm hearing is that he wants people to support and buy his EP and not to spread his music around on YouTube and what not (not totally sure if it's true though), so I don't have a download available.

Asher Roth 'Kidz These Daze'

Asher Roth has dropped a new track for his fans and the doubters alike. The new joint is called 'Kidz These Daze' which addresses his step back from making music and how people seem to/continue to judge him from 'I Love College.' Roth is a great artist who doesn't get the shine he so rightly deserves because people label him for his breakthrough into the industry track 'I Love College' and are so quick to put down any other songs from him because they assume his music will be like that. I find it dumb to quickly label an artist before you really get to check out other songs by them, listen to some freestyles, etc because they could potentially be your favorite artist if you gave them a listen. I love the beat on 'Kidz These Daze' because it has one of those old school, classic hip hop beats to it, and Asher addresses his music hiatus and the hate he's received by people about his music.

Paperface 'She's Like A Star (feat. Prep Star) (Remix)'

Paperface, out of the New Jersey area, and he brings an original style to the music game, not just musically, but with his style. The name "Paperface" is to be taken literally for he wears a paperbag over his face as a way to hid his true identity. He tries to come up with different answers to the ever so popular question as to "Why?" and I think I may have one take on this. I'm only speculating, but maybe it's to keep attention to his music and what he has to offer, rather than focusing on his outer appearance and judging him before taking a second to see what he has to offer. I mean that's just me but let's get back to the music. The song 'She's Like A Star' which features Prep Star, is a remix of Taio Cruz's original song by the same name, and Paperface puts his spin on the song and adds a little comedy as well with the video. The song is about calling that special someone your "star" the one who's above everything to you, but Paperface (in the video) takes it one further and tells two girls that they are his star which leads to an argument between the two young ladies at the end. An overall great video from and the verses are well written and I can't wait to check out more music from Paperface in the future. If you're looking to check Paperface out in concert he's been doing shows in the New York/New Jersey and Philadelphia are so be on the look out.

Jim Jones 'Perfect Day (Official Video)(Feat. Chink Santana & Logic)'

The song 'Perfect Day' by Dipset's own, Jim Jones, has become an instant favorite of mine from the first time I heard the song on the radio. He switches it up a bit on this record and finds his inner Ice Cube 'Today Was A Good Day' and spits about a perfect day without cops harassing, everything going well without any problems creating that essential "Perfect Day." I really like this song because it shows off a different side of Jones and that he can rap about things other than money, cars, etc and spit something that everyone can relate to. Not only is the song sentimental, but the video shows off a softer side of Jones with the feature of his Aunt (I believe) doing the lyrics to the song in sign language along with Jim Jones doing a couple parts in sign language as well. Whenever this song comes on the radio, I know it will be a perfect day so check out the video and I hope you all have yourselves a 'Perfect Day.'

Odd Future Interview by Nardwuar at SXSW

So many members of the Odd Future crew were down in Austin, Texas for the SXSW shows, and Tyler, the Creator and Hodgy Beats were along for the ride in this funny interview with Nardwuar. The Odd Future gang has been seeing many more headlines since their performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live along with other interviews, funny skits, other show performances, along with their heavy presence on many social networking sites. The Odd Future Crew brings about a different style of music along with stage antics that have brought together a wide pool of fans. Personally I haven't had the chance to check out more songs by them other than 'Sandwitches' and 'Yonkers' but from what I've seen they have many fans of other songs, and the other members of the group other than Tyler. If you don't know Odd Future, check them out in this funny interview with Nardwuar and I suggest checking out some of their songs as well as Tyler's "Goblin" album that will be released soon. #FreeEarl

Kanye West & KiD CuDi 'Gorgeous (SXSW Surprise Show)'

Back to the music you all love. So Kanye West has been rumored to be performing at the SXSW concert festival in Austin this past Saturday, March 19, and among the different songs he performed was the song 'Gorgeous' featuring G.O.O.D. Music labelmate KiD CuDi. The song is off of Yeezy's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album released November of 2010, and I've heard the song maybe once before and just listening to it again makes me love Kanye West and his music. The original features Raekwon along with CuDi, and it's just an all around great track that displays the emotion he's felt from the critics, and he even references the writers/creators of South Park in the song. CuDi lends his talents for the hook of the song along with the written thoughts of Kanye over the melodic beat which creates something special called 'Gorgeous.' The sound quality of the song is not as great, but if I find a better version, I'll deff post it up for you all. In the meantime check out Kanye West & KiD CuDi's performance of 'Gorgeous' at the SXSW Vevo Power Plant Surprise Show.

Rebecca Black 'Friday (Official Video)'

So if you guys have not heard about this song and video 'Friday' by an up and coming singer Rebecca Black you need to watch this now. To accurately sum up the video in just a few comments would be hard. It's honestly something that's different and the lyrics to this song, you just can't compare them with anything else you've ever heard. Rebecca Black is the new youth revolutionary when it comes to music, she brings a style of music thats been pushed back in the music industry for far too long. Her lyrics connect with the daily problems of teens and with that I applaud her. I hope she will never lose sight on what she stands for and continue to sing about the teenage struggle. This video is not heavily edited and it shows real teenagers having fun on that ever so loved day of the week, Friday. There is also a special appearance by a rapper, who's name I am unaware of, that adds to the fun of 'Friday' so check it out and let me know what you guys think.

Theo Martins 'Turn It Up (Feat. Plan B)'

Theo Martins, musician out of Rhode Island, and artist behind the track 'Lo-Fi Love' which I featured on here a while back has just released a new album for his fans called "Sincerely Yours, The Dance Floor." The album mixes a bunch of different genres like Hip Hop, some Pop, Electro, amongst others to create something original and Theo Martins unique. The first track off of the album is called 'Turn It Up' which features British musician Plan B on the track. 'Turn It Up' has a mix of different sounds blended together to create this dance inspired, techno influenced song that will definitely have you going crazy on the dance floor. I'm definitely diggin the intro which starts off slow and acapella, then the different instruments coming in really add to the track. Theo Martins always brings something different and unique to his music and 'Turn It Up' is a great intro song to an even more amazing album.

Chris Brown 'Look At Me Now (Official Video) (Feat. Busta Rhymes & Lil Wayne)'

So Chris Brown, sorry newly blonde haired Chris Brown, has finished and released the music video for his hot new single 'Look at me Now' which features Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. The song by itself is hot, and all three of the guys do their thing on the track, but the question was how would the video look. I wasn't sure what direction would be taken with the video, maybe an opening with a club scene since he does say, "I don't see how you can hate from outside of the club, you can't even get in" but for the rest I wasn't really sure. The video is creative, and does show of Chris' dancing skills which is something I do appreciate since his earlier music videos. I like the video, it's not too flashy, it's very urban (I guess, not really sure if I'm using it correctly) element wise, and it reminds me of his 'Run It' video so I wonder if Chris is gonna return to those days. Be on the look out for his new album "F.A.M.E." due March 22nd.
*edit* Have no fear the video is back up.

*Chris tweeted that this isn't the final edit of the song so I'll be on the lookout for that final version when it premieres on BET's 106 & Park*

Daveed 'Letting Go'

I'm on a roll with the Mid West artists now. Daveed another rapper out of the Minnesota area who's looking to take over the game. He posts, "I want to be a real person when it comes to my music. I don't want to create someone that has it all together as an artist, but behind the mic is someone thats hurting." Daveed first picked up the mic to start rhyming at the age of 14 which sparked his interest in hip hop and perfecting his skill. Still giving his fans some hot music, Daveed is releasing a new mixtape titled, "Say What's Real" in May of 2011. After hearing this dope track 'Letting Go' I can only imagine that this new mixtape will be great. This song has a dope beat, and the chorus which talks about letting go of your problems for the night and just have fun, and do you. Another reason I like the song is Daveed's approach to the song, and the message behind it. The only bad part about the song is that it ends. I already listened to the songs he put up on his Facebook band page, and they all display his talents on the mic. I wish him the best, and be on the look out for his "Say What's Real" mixtape.

"My dreams they wait for me so trust I will be right above"

Sweezer B. 'IDGAF! (Prod. Beaker)'

Just saw this track and I had to see what it was about. I've never heard of the guy Sweezer B beforehand but what I can tell you about this song is that it's fresh. So I went and looked him up and I see he does have a nice fan base, and already dropped a tape called "The Ugly Troof" and one called "24 Hours Till Reality" which I'll download and check out and possibly post it up with a review of it for ya'll to read and download. I looked up some info on Sweezer B and he's a rapper out of the Minneapolis, Minnesota area (shoutouts to the Mid West), and is actually only a couple year older than me. He's been doing his thing on the mic at least since he was 14 years old which has given him plenty of time to work on his skills and create something the people will be craving for. The song 'IDGAF!' (you can guess what it stands for), has a hot beat and Sweezer drops some nice punchlines to create an amazing sounding track produced by Beaker. I'm deff gonna check out some more songs by him and I hope you guys do the same.

The Cool Kids 'Free Throws (Music Video)'

The dope fellas Sir Michael Rocks and Chuck Inglish aka The Cool Kids have finally dropped the long awaited music video for their song 'Free Throws' which was off of their "Merry Christmas" Mixtape that came out over a year ago or so. They did have a video where they were in the studio with legendary producer and DJ Don Cannon, recording the song, but there is now an official video for the song. The song is another one of those songs like 'Big Talk' or 'Pennies' that relates to basketball in some way, but the way they approach making a song, no matter the topic, is what really grabs me. They can rap pretty much about anything and make it hot because they always have a dope beat behind them, and they don't need to follow conventional paths on rapping about money, cars, women and everything else that has been filled in these mainstream lyrics nowadayz. The music video is just them straight up rapping, but shots of them around town (with Mikey rocking a Lakers beanie? oh geez), it kind of reminds me of a little home video type of thing with the guys in the snow and what have you. I feel like spending a day with these guys would be jam packed with fun, sneakers, and dropping dope rhymes.

*I did the edit on this picture so if you're gonna take it please credit the source, gracias*

Pac Div "Mania! (Mixtape)"

OMG, Hide your kids, and hide your wife, the Pac Div "Mania!" mixtape is here. I've been waiting for this to drop ever since they released 'Your F****** Song' and said that it would be apart of their upcoming mixtape. It's been kind of a cat and mouse game with the release, but I'm just relived it's here now. I knew they would drop it when I wasn't home, and rest assured it happened (lol). The mixtape is hosted by the legendary DJ/Producer Don Cannon who did great work on Asher Roth's "The Greenhouse Effect" (which is an all around dope mixtape might I add). I'm currently in the process of downloading the mixtape so I can only tell you all about the tracks I've heard so far which is 'Your F****** Song,' 'Anti-Freeze,' and 'Take Me High' which are all great singles in their own right. Each show off the many sides of the fellas of Pac Div and I'm sure that the rest of the songs on here continue to display their lyrical abilities. The mixtape includes features from Sir Michael Rocks (of The Cool Kids), Ty$, BJ The Chicago Kid, and Casey Veggies. I hope you all enjoy.
